If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care

Our emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such a snail bait poisoning, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our veterinarian will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.

Types of Pets Seen

Deworming and Fecal Check

Dangerous parasites are always present in the environment. If brought into your home, these parasites can be passed from your pet to you and your family. We normally associate parasites, such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms, with cats and dogs but people can be infected with the same parasites.

Regular fecal checks and deworming are the best way to prevent parasitic disease and the transmission of intestinal parasites to your pets. It also prevents the shedding of parasite eggs, which can contaminate parks, lawns or any place a pet defecates.

Full Dental

Dental health is a very important aspect of overall health. During an exam the doctor examines the pet’s oral cavity and determines if a dental is necessary.  An appointment can then be made for one of our surgery days.

The cleaning requires general anesthesia to allow the doctor full access to the mouth.  Once the teeth are ultrasonically cleaned they are polished with a prophy paste.  If necessary, extractions may be performed (antibiotics may be sent home). Gum surgery can and may be performed if necessary.

Vaccines are given at annual appointments.

Canine vaccines available include:

  • Rabies

  • Distemper vaccine in combination with Leptosporosis, Parvovirus, Hepatitis and Parainfluenza

  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)

  • Lyme vaccine

  • Rattlesnake

Feline vaccines include:

  • Rabies

  • FVRCP vaccine including Calicivirus and Panleukopenia

  • FeLV vaccine

Cremation Services

Beaumont Animal Hospital has partnered to provide cremation services for your dear pet. We are committed to providing these services in a compassionate and respectful manner, and hope to ease your sorrow during this difficult time.

There are two options available for cremation services, private or communal. By selecting a private cremation, your pet will be cremated individually. Your pet’s remains will then be carefully returned here to our hospital enclosed in an elegant wooden urn with a personalized engraved name plaque. Our partner, Peaceful Paws, uniquely identifies each and every pet. This identification follows your pet through the entire cremation and return process. This process ensures that your pet is handled with the utmost of care and tracked diligently. In contrast, by selecting a communal cremation, the remains of your pet will not be returned to the pet parent but scattered off the coast of San Diego.

The private cremation process will take 7 to 14 days. When your pet’s remains are returned to our hospital we contact you immediately and you may pick up at any time.

Our hospital would like to express our deepest condolences for the loss of your pet. We are here to help you in your time of need with any questions you may have. Please don’t hesitate to call.

Beaumont Animal Hospital accepts payment via cash, MasterCard, or Visa. However, we do not accept check. In order for us to provide you with high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.
